For the weather watchers, we are experiencing one of the coldest with more snow since 1970 when I first set foot in Germany. Events are being cancelled left and right and our thoughts are dreaming of a warm and dry summer, 2010!

I am now a member of St Barbara lodge in Leamington Spa, England and recently had the pleasure of seeing my son Lee do his first degree at the same lodge. In March my brother in law will begin walking the same road. Happy days but I am still sadly missing my brothers from Spessart lodge and hope to see some of you in the next year or so. Fraternal greetings to you all.

Brother Harold Adams will return home 1 December after spending two weeks in a Wiesbaden Klinik for treatment. Without his laptop and IPod, he never could have made it, however, his wife brought him goodies every day and made his day.

Thanks to all the resident members who attended Lodge on 12 May to welcome VWB Stephen Thomas, District 8, Deputy Grand Master as a first time visitor. It took him a little over two hours to drive from Hohenfels. For those members who did not attend, how long does it take YOU to drive to Lodge?
